Jo, a witty 9 year-old girl, loves films and superheroes. Battling a terminal illness, she dreams of being a superhero, and inspires the other kids in the children’s hospital to act out scenes from action films. One day, her mother Kathryn takes Jo back to her rural village in Kenya to spend the rest of her short life with her family. Against all odds , the whole village takes it upon themselves to make Jo’s last wish a reality: to make a film and star in it. Supa Modo is a deeply moving observation of the comforting nature of imagination in the face of the finiteness of life.
